Mountaineering finds an incomparable stage in the Andes, attracting lovers of Andean mountaineering. This is why it is of vital importance to develop this sport responsibly and safely both for athletes and for the environment.
Valle Nevado is located in the Santuario Yerba Loca. Among the most visited places of its lands are Laguna Piuquenes, Falsa Parva, Piedra Numerada, Federación, and El Plomo.
We remind you that as it is a protected area, access in any motorized vehicle not related to the operation of Valle Nevano is prohibited.
Pay attention to the entry conditions:
- It is a Private Enclosure.
- Entry in Motorized Vehicles is Prohibited.
- You must register your entry and exit at the Farellones Carabineros station. Safety comes first.
- Entry hours on Saturdays and Sundays between 6:00 am and 9:30 am. Exit time Saturday and Sunday: from 4:30 pm onwards. For safety reasons, entry at night is prohibited.
- The exit of hikers must be made at the time stipulated in the Register.
- You must take care of the Mountain; you are in a Nature Sanctuary.
- It is an Area of Protected Species: you must not step on wetland ecosystems, do not alter flora & fauna.
- You must take care of archaeological remains, please do not touch or handle them.
- Entering pets is Prohibited.
- Making campfires is Prohibited.
- Littering is Prohibited.
- Camping without prior authorization from Valle Nevado is Prohibited.
- Environmental damage is sanctioned by law 19.300.
- Even when you register, you must approach the Control Booth to verify access conditions. Valle Nevado reserves the right of access in case the weather conditions are unfavorable, or work is being done, until the safety conditions for visitors and workers of Valle Nevado improve.
