History, vision, mission and purpose
In the 70’s a dream started: To be the ski center with the best snow in the world. Ten years later (1987), in a valley at 3,025 meters above sea level and facing south (33°21’16.92 “S / -70°14’59.28 “W) that delivers the best snow that the Andes Mountains receive, Valle Nevado wanted to open its slopes for the first time. It could not do it, that winter it snowed a lot and the opening had to wait until June 1988. During +36 years the best snow of the southern hemisphere has turned Valle Nevado into a space place, a ski center with slopes for all levels, destination of the best heliskiing, hotels, real estate development, gastronomy, services and activities for those who love skiing and the sport in the mountain. During these years the snow has been at the center of everything that happens in Valle Nevado, as its history shows.
